You run anyways, why not join us?

The annual Runner’s Festive is a friendly challenge held from the 23rd of December to the 1st of January. Set a goal for yourself and input your runs here on our website for the 10 days; we will all come out and support each other over on Facebook.

The idea is to bring together people who run and encourage putting down some volume during the holiday season.

The Inspiration

The first edition of The Runner’s Festive took place in 2011. It has its roots in the Rapha Festive 500, a road cycling event put on by cycling gear company Rapha. Mike Papageorge, creator of The Runner’s Festive, tried the Rapha Festive in 2010 but was thwarted by strong winds during the first few days and wasn’t able to make the full 500km. Since he had a 93km ultra race coming up two weeks later and couldn’t ride, he ran instead (no not 500km!). This is where the idea for The Runner’s Festive came to life.

We're just updating the website for this year's Runner's Festive, which will be held, as usual, from the 23rd of December to the 1st of January, inclusive.

Like our Facebook page and we'll let you know when the new site launches.
